EIS - English for International Students


English classes for international students (European Union & non-EU)

English for International Students courses and qualifications at South Thames College help you to live, work and study in the UK and improve your international career opportunities, anywhere in the world.

If you are already in London, our courses are a great way to meet new people of all ages and help you settle in to life in the UK.

You can study for Cambridge English qualifications, such as First or Advanced Certificate & IELTS - all recognised and respected globally. Ofsted described our English courses as "outstanding".

We offer many English courses and classes at our main campus on Wandsworth High Street. There are courses which take 5-6 hours each week (day or evening) or 15 hours and more.

You can also take EIS English classes at our Tooting centre. These courses take 5-6 hours per week.

We offer Business English courses, starting throughout the year.

ESOL - English for Speakers of Other Languages


Our ESOL courses are for adults & 16-19 year olds living permanently in the UK, including refugees and asylum seekers receiving benefits.

Ofsted have described our English courses as "outstanding".

They help people to:

  • prepare for life and work in the UK
  • study English with other subjects
  • prepare for British citizenship

In addition to courses at our College campuses, we have classes for parents in local primary schools and community centres
