Accommodation
You will need somewhere suitable to stay when you arrive in London and while you study here. The college does not have its own hostel or residences, but we can help you arrange accommodation, and there are various different options. You can also arrange accommodation with friends, relatives or through a personal contact.
We advise you to live close to the College, away from the more expensive central areas of the city; which will also mean that you spend less money and time on travel. Please download this information and booking leaflet or see below for more information about the different types of accommodation and their costs.
Home Stay
A great way to learn about the culture of the UK is to stay in a private home. Our Home Stay hosts are all carefully selected and checked by our partner agency and are English-speakers. They include a range of backgrounds, cultures and ages.

Flat Share
We can also arrange for you to rent a single, twin or double room in a shared flat (apartment) or house. Our Flat Share partners are specialist providers of shared accommodation to young people, including international students. They have a good selection of accommodation in areas close to the college. They may be supervised or unsupervised.
You will be sent detailed information about accommodation options along with your offer letter.
With your booking you must pay 4 weeks rent in advance (or 3 weeks for a summer course). We also highly recommend that you arrange property insurance for your possessions.
Please download this information sheet for further details about arranging accommodation during your time at South Thames College in London.
