The Business courses at South Thames College offer practical ways to help your staff in their day-to-day work.  

We deliver skills in the Business Administration, Team Leading & Management and Customer Service disciplines that lie at the heart of effective organisations. Courses can be tailored to suit your specific needs and applied across varying work roles.

Our courses include:

Level 2 in Team Leading

This course is designed for team leaders who are primarily concerned with motivating their team members and achieving agreed outputs.

Level 3 in Management

This course is for first line managers who have decision-making responsibilities within defined limits and wider responsibility for people and their performance. It also assesses their knowledge and understanding of key management activities.   

Other popular courses include Level 2 and 3 in Business Administration and Level 2 or 3 in Customer Service.

ITQ Level 2

The aim of this qualification is to develop and recognise the skills and achievements of your employees in using ICT applications at work.

The content and assessment is individually tailored to fit the job responsibilities of each employee. As well as assessing the use of general business applications like word processing and spreadsheets, the qualification will assess applications that are job specific.

Customer Service Level 2

Customer Service Level 3

These courses cover customer service basics, giving a positive impression and images, delivering reliable customer service, handling problems and developing and improving customer relationships

Short courses are available in a wide range of subjects, from Time Management to Employment Law, Project Management, Effective Communication and short courses in industry standard packages of word processing, databases, spread sheets, web design software.
