Our A Level department has been going from strength to strength in recent years and last year saw our students achieve record results with a 96% pass rate. Building on this success, we have decided to invest further in our A Level provision by developing an exclusive 6th form centre on the Merton campus, called Merton 6th Form.

Culture of Success
We are 100% focussed on motivating, inspiring and supporting our students to achieve their full potential. All classes are taught by highly-qualified teachers who specialise in specific subjects and are experts in their field. Teachers here develop expertise dealing with students of this age group and are not stretched across several year groups. We also offer smaller than usual class sizes where students
receive individual support and attention.
The result of this focus is an impressive set of results:
• In 2010, pass rates* were 96% with 63% at the higher grades (A–C).
• Our success rate* was 90% last year, far higher than a lot of schools. This shows our commitment to helping everyone achieve their potential.
• We have outstanding “value added” results in many subjects – this means that students really improve their grades from the time they join us to when they sit their A Levels.
*Pass rate = percentage who passed the exam based on numbers who sat the exam
*Success rate = percentage who passed the exam based on numbers that started the course
Wide range of courses
We offer a wider choice of subjects than most other schools or colleges in the area, with 20 A Level options – so you can choose the combination that is just right for you. Subjects on offer cover humanities, sciences, arts and social science, so whatever you are thinking about studying at University, we have an A Level path suitable for you.

Progression to University
Over three-quarters of our A Level students progress to university when they finish here. Last year we had students going to top universities such as Leicester, Bristol, Southampton and the University of London.
