- This course is for students 19 years old and over.
Students must be over 18 years old. There will be a formal interview where you will need to bring examples of completed work or work in progress, plus one of the following:
- A BTEC Level 3 qualification in Creative Media Production or related discipline
- A GCE Advanced in Media Studies grade A*-C
- An Access to Higher Education Certificate or any other Level 3 Media related qualification
- And/or relevant industry experience

LEVEL OF ENGLISH: IELTS: 6.0 (minimum 5.5 in each section) or equivalent.
- Course content:
This highly practical course is aimed at those interested in film and video making. The course encourages experimentation and creative development. It includes all aspects of digital video and 16mm film making with a strong emphasis on the use of sound. There is both digital and analogue editing using Final Cut Pro and Steenbeck editing tables.
This course provides a foundation in aspects of the moving image and sound, to allow students to understand current developments and deal with changes in technology. It will enable learners to develop a portfolio of work which can be shown to potential employers or higher educational establishments.

Assessment of knowledge and understanding occurs through a number of practical and written assignments. Students are given written and verbal feedback and action points to help them to develop their work.
