South Thames' media, film and TV courses give you the skills and qualifications for jobs and careers such as film-making, publishing, media, sound or lighting and radio production, or you can go on to further specialist university-level studies.

We are the only Further Education establishment in South London offering accessible 16mm film production training.
Facilities include a professional TV and film studios and digital editing facilities, a broadcast standard radio studio and an interactive G5 multimedia suite.

Last week the creative industries department hosted a variety of interesting events as part of the Colleges annual Creative Industries Week. This week is a chance for students in the department to showcase and share their work with family and friends.
Activities included making a music video, making a 16mm film, art exhibitions, music performances and screenings from the media students.

Students fearing financial hardship with the death of the EMA are being protected with the launch of a Student Benefit Package at South Thames College. The package is tailored to students’ needs will replace the EMA when is phased out next year. This will help eligible students to fund expenses like food, travel, books, equipment and study materials. There are separate packages available to both 16-18 and 19+ year olds.
