South Thames College in south London has a proud reputation in Music Technology. Our expertise in this field allows us to be able to develop new, and enhance existing, specialist music recording training. This gives students, access to the high quality practical training that you need to succeed in the modern music business.
Students travel from far and wide to study music production at South Thames College. Many successful South Thames students have gone on to a variety of careers in the music industry, or onto higher education / university.
Facilities include industry standard music technology/media suites with Apple Macs and PCs running Cubase SL3, Logic Audio, Pro Tools and Final Cut Pro. There are also well equipped digital and analogue recording studios and rehearsal studios.

Our tutors have music and media industry backgrounds, and music courses at South Thames Collage are for all abilities - from beginner to professional - leading to industry standard NVQ and BTEC qualifications, including higher education HNC/HND and degree level courses.

Last week the creative industries department hosted a variety of interesting events as part of the Colleges annual Creative Industries Week. This week is a chance for students in the department to showcase and share their work with family and friends.
Activities included making a music video, making a 16mm film, art exhibitions, music performances and screenings from the media students.
