Skills for Life courses at South Thames College give you essential qualifications in Reading, Writing, Maths, employability and more:
- Our courses for adults provide a wide range of English and Maths classes. Students enrol to help them get a job or promotion at work, to achieve qualifications, to gain places on vocational courses, to support their children with school homework or for many other reasons
- Our courses for young people help students make up their minds about their future careers and gain the skills they need. The courses provide English, Maths and Computing classes together with employment preparation and taster sessions for vocational studies
- Our courses for students with learning difficulties or disabilities help these students gain English, Maths, Computing/Information Technology and life skills to help them move towards independent living and employment

Students fearing financial hardship with the death of the EMA are being protected with the launch of a Student Benefit Package at South Thames College. The package is tailored to students’ needs will replace the EMA when is phased out next year. This will help eligible students to fund expenses like food, travel, books, equipment and study materials. There are separate packages available to both 16-18 and 19+ year olds.

I like that the people who run the course are friendly, you get a lot done, but it’s all fun things to do. The people make it fun.
