South Thames College has a large range of English classes for international students.

We have "full-time" intensive day & "part-time" day or evening courses at our Wandsworth High Street campus.

We have "part-time" day & evening classes at our Tooting Broadway centre.

English for International Students - EIS

Our English courses for international students - European Union (EU) and non-EU - help you live, work & study in the UK and improve your international career.

You can study for Cambridge English qualifications, such as First or Advanced Certificate, and IELTS. Our students get very good results.

EIS courses are from just a few hours each week, day or evening, to very intensive, 15 hours and more.

EIS has been a South Thames College specialism for over 40 years. Every year, about 2,000 students choose our classes.

Our EIS courses are inspected as part of Accreditation UK and are accredited by the British Council. We are a member of English UK; Accreditation UK is a partnership of English UK & the British Council.

As a state college, our courses, services and facilities are inspected and regulated by government. Our English courses were assessed as grade 1 "outstanding" in our 2009 OFTSED (government agency) inspection.

South Thames launches EMA replacement to protect hardest hit learners

23 June 2011

Students fearing financial hardship with the death of the EMA are being protected with the launch of a Student Benefit Package at South Thames College. The package is tailored to students’ needs will replace the EMA when is phased out next year. This will help eligible students to fund expenses like food, travel, books, equipment and study materials. There are separate packages available to both 16-18 and 19+ year olds. Read more…
