Course content:

Come and have a flavour of this Foreign language in this free taster for complete beginners. You will learn a few useful sentences and expressions. The perfect opportunity to fall in love with the languages and start a longer course just afterwards


By the end of the course students will be able to:
- use basic phrases (greetings, please, thank you, sorry. My name is. What is your name?)

Course Structure:

Classes typically have about 15-20 students. You may work in groups, in pairs or individually and need to complete homework outside the class. There is an emphasis on student participation in activities. Communicative, functional approach with emphasis on speaking and listening and comprehension activities with audio-visual methods.

Course resources:

You will have access to the Learning Centre in Wandsworth and Tooting. This includes the use of computers, audio-visual equipment and at Wandsworth, our language laboratory

Fees Info

When information is available you will notice 2 different fees stated for this course. The fee you pay is dependent on your status:

  • Fee 1: Standard fee paid by most people
  • Fee 2: Reduced fee for those aged 60+
  • Students in receipt of an income-based benefit pay £37 per course per term.
    You will need to bring proof of age and any benefits when you enrol.
    You DO NOT have to pay the College Registration Charge for these courses, but you may have to pay for additional course materials.
  • Materials costs:

    The tutor will advise you about any materials costs.
