Entry requirements:
This course is for school leavers aged 16-18 years. Qualifications for entry are not required however a zest for learning new skills, excellent communications skills and being able to work at a fast pace is essential. Successful interviewees will enjoy the prospect of creative work and completing projects at home.
Course content:
This course is ideal for those candidates who want to pursue a career in the hairdressing industry. You will gain an insight into the correct methods of application and techniques involved to create various hair-styles. Successful candidates will be able to perform and know how to create hair-up.
practical and theoretical studies in Hair up and Creating Designs using various tools and equipment. Students will receive demonstrations and practical time to design different looks as well as studying different themes in Hairdressing over various decades.
Course Structure:
This course will provide students with introductory vocational skills and knowledge to become a trainee in the Hairdressing Industry. You will be taught essential knowledge, skills and understanding of how to perform Hairdressing tasks firstly on the blocks and then on paying clients.
Course resources:
Kit will be purchased and used in class for assessments.
Assessment:
Theory and practical assessments as well as assignments and oral questioning.
