- This course is for International Students - both EU or non-EU - to help you live, work and study in the UK.
You need at least a high intermediate level of English. Language level assessed at interview or through distance application process.
- Course content:
For students who want to improve communication in an English speaking business environment. In addition to state inspection processes, EIS courses are accredited by The British Council through Accreditation UK.
You will study language typically used in business situations, both formal and informal, with emphasis on vocabulary, terminology and Exam preparation as appropriate. Specific content depends on the needs and interests of the students in each class; teachers assess and discuss this at the start of each course.
- Course Structure:
Classes typically have about 20 students. Students may work in groups, in pairs or individually. Students need to complete course work outside the class. There is an emphasis on active student participation in activities, both in class and outside.
- Course resources:
Access to Learning Centre, computers, audio-visual equipment, language laboratory.
- Assessment:
Continuous assessment of coursework.

- Work or continue onto a higher level course.
