- Please note all students wishing to take this course need to be 19 years or older at the time of enrolment You need to have English at GCSE grades A-C or/and other level 2 qualifications. Your motivation and suitability will be tested at a college interview. You should be aiming to progress onto study at HNC/HND or degree level.
- Course content:
- This is a credit based course and each piece of coursework or examination you achieve gains you a credit until you reach the required total and have covered the necessary subjects. Many approaches to learning are used including research, observation, written assessment, peer assessment and individual and small group presentations
Students will study IT and Specialist Law Units including Legal Research Skills, Criminal Law, Tort, Sources of Law and Common. Contract/Employment Law to prepare for degree study. Tutorial sessions will facilitate your UCAS application.
There is a focus on developing study skills to equip students for the requirements of higher education. This is a credit based course and each piece of coursework or examination gains you a credit. - All students have access to our fully equipped state of the art learning centre. This included free internet access.
- Assessment:
- Takes place throughout the course and will take the form of essays, assignments, presentations, tests and final examinations. Students must pass each unit and gain a total of 54 credits (of which 36 must be at Level 3) to achieve the qualification
- Next step:
- Degree or higher education, such as STC's HND Business and Finance or BA Business Management (with Kingston University) or at an alternative HE institution.

- Fees Info
- The fee where stated is an 'INCLUSIVE FEE' for UK/EU students. This fee includes the tuition fee, examination fee and exam board registration fee. You may have to pay extra for materials for the course. If you are under 19 years or you are in receipt of an income related benefit the course and exam fee is FREE. Students aged 60+ years pay 70% of this fee. Students aged 19+ will also have to pay a College Registration Fee of £30 once per academic year.
