Welfare advice
What is Welfare Advice?
The College has a team of welfare advisers who provide free, confidential, impartial and detailed advice and assistance to students on a wide range of practical problems.
The most common problems students can face are as follows:
- Housing Issues
- Welfare Benefits
- Financial Help at college (see Money to Study leaflet)
- Dealing with debt and financial problems
- Signposting for Immigration issues
- Health Issues
- Childcare
- Referrals to specialist community services
We help many students with these issues each year, helping them in their lives and enabling them to successfully complete their time at South Thames College.
If you want to talk to someone please ask in the Advice Centre or reception at your campus.
