The qualification includes a pathway for carers of adults and one for carers of children and young people. This has been created for people who work with individuals to support and assist them with their physical or emotional care, daily living needs or maintaining their independence.

Level 2 in Clinical Healthcare Support
Level 3 in Clinical Healthcare Support
These qualifications are designed for Healthcare support workers in a variety of different settings including Residential services, Day services, Domiciliary services and community-based services.
This qualification is recognised as a replacement for Health NVQ's levels 2 and 3.
Support Services in Health Care Level 2
This qualification is for those who work in the healthcare sector in critical support roles, for example: porters, housekeepers, caterers, cleaners, laundry workers, security staff, staff working in transportation and medical records workers.
Candidates working in any of these roles play an important part in ensuring that patients, users and carers experience a quality service. This course is appropriate for full or part-time workers employed within the NHS or by independent healthcare providers.
Level 3 in Dental Nursing
The qualification is for dental nurses who provide patient care, direct chair side work and support during a range of dental treatments. It also covers aspects of practice management. Staff carrying out these roles will gain considerable knowledge and skills in relation to dental equipment, instruments, materials and procedures.
For those candidates who don't have a sufficient standard of English to go straight into Level 3, the College runs a literacy support programme tailored to dental nurses.
