Inside View
Olivia Pelling, Musical Instrument Making
“I chose the Musical Instrument programme because it was very hands on and I wanted a programme where I was going to actually make instruments in addition to studying the theories. I was able to make 3 instruments, learn many repairs including bow care; learn about acoustics and also business management. The course enabled me to become what I am now, a luthier. Since I finished the course, I immediately went and did an apprenticeship in a violin workshop and following that, have now have opened my own business, which is doing well.”
