The Prince’s Trust Team Programme
The Prince’s Trust Team Programme is a free 12-week personal development course for 16-25 year olds. It is designed to give young people the opportunities to develop confidence, motivation, communication and life skills by getting them to work as a team and complete projects in the local community.
We offer exciting challenges, which help build confidence and motivation, give young people new skills and qualifications. Taking part will help young people get the jobs they want.
During the programme, young people will:
- Develop practical skills which will help in life, and in a job
- Meet new people
- Enjoy an action packed week away from home
- Take part in challenging projects –which they choose
- Benefit from three weeks work experience
- Be given help with their CV
- Make a difference to the local community
- Have an amazing time
What is the qualification?
Every young person on the Team Programme is working towards gaining The Prince’s Trust Certificate in Employment, Teamwork and Community Skills. It is a portfolio based qualification so there are no exams to sit.
How long does it take?
Each Team runs for 12 weeks: Monday-Friday from 9:30am-4:30pm.
How much does it cost?
This course is totally FREE and if you are unemployed you can still claim benefits.

South Thames College run the Prince’s Trust Team Programme from 8 different locations: Merton; Wandsworth; Croydon; Tooting; Kingston; Sutton; Mortlake and Mitcham.
