COURSE CONTENT
Communication in an English-speaking international professional, managerial environment.
You will study language typically used in business situations, both formal and informal. Communication in class involves the real world. There is a special emphasis on vocabulary.
The study programme depends on the needs and interests of the students in the class. Teachers decide on the content for a class at the start of a term, through tests and consultation with students.
In general, however, your studies will include the language / terminology of subjects such as:
- Negotiating
- Presentations
- Import / Export
- Making Conditions
- Proposing / Recommending
Classes include cultural aspects of communication and skills for UK life.
QUALIFICATIONS
You can prepare for a Cambridge Business English Certificate - BEC.
BEC is available at 3 levels - see page 11.
The exams are available in March, June or December.
PROGRESSION
You can progress to one of South Thames College's undergraduate or postgraduate courses or find a job.
