“When I turned 18 I applied to be a PCSO but I failed by 4%. I wasn’t able to take another test for 6 months so I thought I’d make the most of my time by getting a qualification in Public Services. I have enjoyed learning things like the Criminal Evidence Act which is handy because you never know when you’ll need to know it. Outside of my course I have also joined the Special Police Constables where I work as a police officer and respond to calls from front line policing. I work for 16 hours a month and the experience is great. The teachers here are great and treat you like a mature adult.”
