This course can help explore art if you have a visual impairment. During the workshops, you'll work on your own projects and ideas with help from your tutor. You'll gain an understanding of art and artists and develop your creative process.
The course will give you the opportunity to:
- Develop a 2D or 3D artistic idea
- Use a mixture of materials and learn new techniques such as drawing, painting, sculpture and ceramics
- Understand the difference between primary and secondary source materials and how to use them to inspire your project
The work is practical with some theory to help you develop your creative project. You'll exchange ideas and feedback with your classmates. This is a friendly and supportive course designed to promote creativity and enhance well-being. Individual access requirements are incorporated into the course, which is run by a professional artist who is also visually impaired.
This course is for visually impaired students. You don't need any previous artistic experience.
