The course will cover a variety of techniques and approaches to painting with a range of subjects from still life to landscape and portraits. You will work from both primary and secondary sources observation and photographic reference.
You will be given a proposed course outline at the beginning of each term which will be discussed and agreed upon with any special requests considered and adjustments made to suit the group.
By the end of the course you will have learnt some new techniques/approaches to painting and drawing and have developed existing skills towards an independence to be able to select and develop personal projects.
Continuous informal assessment through observation, group and individual discussion and comment, question and answer.
Please bring any drawing or watercolour materials you may have. Your tutor will advise if there are any extra materials required.
