Our craft courses will teach you a range of creative skills you can use to start a small business making and selling your own unique products. They're also a great way to improve your dexterity, meet new people and develop an interest.
Learn all aspects of ceramics making from core hand-building skills, glazing and decoration to the more complex art of throwing on the wheel.
Each term students will study and research a key ceramicist, or style in the historyof ceramics.
This course is open to complete beginners and the more experienced potter, as students will be encouraged to pursue their own ideas with guidance from the tutor.
The tutor will advise you on the aesthetics of a form and ensure your work is successful in the making. There is no certification.
There may be materials you need to help with your studies. You'll either make a one-off payment for these when you enrol, or you'll buy them during the course. Your tutor will talk to you about this at interview or in your first class (if you don't need an interview).
Depending on your course and circumstances, you may be able to get funding to help with materials fees. Please check with us when you come in for interview or enrolment.
