This course provides an introduction to the principles and standards of working in business administration for those new to the sector and to expand the understanding of learners currently working in a supporting role in the sector.
Learners will gain or develop skills such as:
- Using the telephone;
- Verbal and written communication;
- Producing documents;
- Time management;
- Dealing with customers.
- Plus other relevant knowledge suitable for effectiveness in basic administrative tasks.
The name of the course, as it appears on your qualification or certificate, will be Customer Service Certificate Level 1
You will have continous assessment and feedback from your assessor.
You will need to have advice and guidance along with an assessment of your literacy.
There may be materials you need to help with your studies. You'll either make a one-off payment for these when you enrol, or you'll buy them during the course. Your tutor will talk to you about this at interview or in your first class (if you don't need an interview).
Depending on your course and circumstances, you may be able to get funding to help with materials fees. Please check with us when you come in for interview or enrolment.
The qualification will prepare learners for further learning eg Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration and also for employment in introductory roles within the sector.
