Our nutrition and healthy eating courses will give you an understanding of the different food groups and what goes into the food we buy. Taking one of these courses is the perfect starting point to begin a healthier lifestyle, or find out about food to work in catering or nutrition.
This course will teach you how to change your diet to eat more healthily or lose weight. If you want to train in diet and nutrition this course will also give you a good introduction to the basics of nutrition.
You'll learn about healthy eating through quizzes, preparing meal plans, recipes and cooking. You'll also learn about the different food groups and vitamins, minerals and fats.
There will be question and answer sessions. Your teacher will also give you feedback.
There may be materials you need to help with your studies. You'll either make a one-off payment for these when you enrol, or you'll buy them during the course. Your tutor will talk to you about this at interview or in your first class (if you don't need an interview).
Depending on your course and circumstances, you may be able to get funding to help with materials fees. Please check with us when you come in for interview or enrolment.
