Social networks can be a great way to keep in touch with people wherever they are. You can join groups of people with the same interests and the same circumstances as yourself or find friends from the past. This course is focused on learning how to join and use Facebook and Twitter.
Topics covered in this course include:
- Creating a profile
- Uploading pictures and videos
- Updating your status and sharing posts
- Creating an account
- Joining or starting a conversation
- Retweeting and following conversations
- Using hashtags
This course is suitable for beginners but you should have basic computing skills (i.e the ability to use a mouse and basic use of the Internet).
There may be materials you need to help with your studies. You'll either make a one-off payment for these when you enrol, or you'll buy them during the course. Your tutor will talk to you about this at interview or in your first class (if you don't need an interview).
Depending on your course and circumstances, you may be able to get funding to help with materials fees. Please check with us when you come in for interview or enrolment.
