Taking an apprenticeship is a great way to begin or build your career in the hairdressing industry. You'll learn the latest skills and cutting techniques in our commercial salon, and enter competitions to show off your creativity and develop your cv. Workplace training will give you the confidence and experience you need to take the next steps towards employment or further training.
You'll also learn about employer rights and responsibilities and study functional skills in maths, English and IT.
A mixture of workplace and college-based observation, portfolio building and online exams.
To become an apprentice with us, you must:
- Be 16 or older
- Be legally allowed to work in the UK
- Have lived in the UK for the last three years
- Have no qualifications at Level 4 or higher eg a HNC.
You may need to invest in smart clothing or uniform for work. Our team will discuss this with you and any other items you need for college.
You could go straight into work after your apprenticeship - we have contacts with many local employers so we often know when a job is available. And many apprentices stay on with the company they started with. You'll be able to talk to your apprenticeship assessor about the options available to you.
