A hospitality services apprenticeship is a great way to begin your career in the hospitality industry. You'll get real-world experience and learn the skills needed to work in many different environments including restaurants, hotels, events catering and many more.
You'll learn about key areas including:
- Guest experience
- Table service
- Bar service
You'll also learn about employer rights and responsibilities and study functional skills in maths, English and IT. You'll leave with a qualification in hospitality services if you complete your apprenticeship successfully.
The name of the course, as it appears on your qualification or certificate, will be Hospitality Apprenticeship
A mixture of workplace and college-based observation, portfolio building and online exams.
To become an apprentice with us, you must:
- Be 16 or older
- Be legally allowed to work in the UK
- Have lived in the UK for the last three years
- Have no qualifications at Level 4 or higher eg a HNC.
Remember that you may need to invest in comfortable footwear as you'll be on your feet, and some smart clothing. Our team will discuss this with you and any items you need for college.
You could go straight into work after your apprenticeship - we have contacts with many local employers so we often know when a job is available. And many apprentices stay on with the company they started with. You'll be able to talk to your apprenticeship assessor about the options available to you.
