Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship - Level 2

Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to work for an employer, earn a salary and at the same time study to achieve a nationally recognised qualification whilst gaining valuable workplace skills and experience.

Apprenticeships are flexible and are designed to offer a structured programme of learning to fit around the needs of the individual and the employer.

Learning takes place mainly during the employment through the development of 'on the job' skills, supported by your College based 'off the job training' which will take place at the college typically for one day every other week. Both the on and off the job elements of the apprenticeship lead to nationally-recognised qualifications.

  • Entry Requirements


    GCSE grade 3 or above in English and Maths A suitable employer who is available to start you as an apprentice You must have the following introductory knowledge:

    • Understand what hospitality means; the culture of the industry and delivering a customer experience to meet and exceed customers' expectations.

    • Appreciate the importance of hospitality behaviours such as personal conduct, being adaptable, using initiative and communicating with a diverse range of people

    • You will be interviewed and assessed to identify your potential, commitment and motivation to achieve the Apprenticeship, based upon the range and level of activities you will be undertaking in the workplace. You may need to undergo an initial assessment of your Maths and English to show your ability to undertake study towards level 1 Maths and English.

    The Hospitality Team Member apprenticeship will teach you to how to excel in this field, anticipate customer needs, and how to adapt products and services to meet customer needs. By the end of your apprenticeship, you will be able to ensure you demonstrate excellent communication skills, and consistently exceed customers' expectations to deliver a great customer experience.
