This FREE 2 week course will help you build confidence in using a computer & administration skills for many work related and personal tasks leading to a Level 1 Digital Skills Qualification.

  • Entry Requirements


    To attend this course, you must be 19 years old or older, legally allowed to live and work in the UK and have lived in the UK or EU for the last 3 years. You will need some experience of using digital technology and email before you start this course. Home access to a connected device (Lap-top, Tablet or Smartphone) is required to complete the course.
    You must also pass a short assessment in English to ensure the course can meet your needs.

    • Customer Services Skills qualification
    • Workplace Health and Safety qualification
    • CV writing, job searches and mock interviews Includes a nationally recognised Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Data Security or Business Administration
    • Current data protection legislation and how it is applied
    • Organisational procedures concerning data
    • Providing Administrative Services
    • Business Document Production and Information Management
    • Communicating in a Business Environment
    • Building Working Relationships with Colleagues

  • Progression Next Steps


    On completion of this course, you will have the basic skills necessary to use IT in the workplace.

    You will study from 9.30am to 3.00pm 5 days a week for 2 weeks with 2 additional Fridays at the start of the course.

    • There is a formal exam at the end of the course for the Digital Skills Qualification
