Thank you for your interest in our CELTA programme. In 2023/24 we will run two courses; dates are at the bottom of the sheet.
The CELTA award is an internationally recognised professional qualification for people looking to teach English to adults either in the UK or abroad. The course is very practical and provides candidates with the opportunity to teach students at a range of levels whilst also observing the practice of others. This practical work is underpinned by theory sessions which look to develop knowledge of the technical aspects of the English language whilst also building understanding of the principles of effective teaching.
Our CELTA team is very experienced, success rates for the programme are extremely high and we provide access to ‘state of the art’ teaching facilities, including: spacious classrooms, smart boards and a dedicated virtual learning environment. We have extensive links with language schools both domestically and across the globe. Consequently, many of our students progress directly onto employment as English language teachers.
Assessment will involve four written assignments of roughly a 1000 words each in length. Candidates will also be required to complete six hours of assessed teaching practice. Great care is taken to provide structured 1:1 support and feedback throughout this practice
From September 2023, fees will be £1400. You should also budget between £50-100 for books and materials.

CELTA COURSE DATES 2023-24
All courses are held at the Wandsworth High Street site.
Part-time day:
26/09/23– 07/12/23 (10 weeks + half term), Tuesday and Thursday 9.00am - 5.00pm
Course starts on a Tuesday. Half term during October inclusive.
23/04/24 – 04/07/24 (10 weeks + half term), Tuesday and Thursday 9.00am - 5.00pm
Course starts on a Tuesday. Half term during May inclusive.
