Treasure boxes are place where we can store objects which hold value to us, and memories and feelings.
Looking at the artist Joseph Cornell amongst others, we will explore the idea of boxes as spaces in which we can create a hidden world or interior which can be revealed in different ways. Using cardboard, wooden and shoe boxes, and paint, sculpture and found objects, we will create sets for internal stories, thinking about ideas for homes of our personal stories and treasures.
There will be individual and group tuition. Group discussion and peer support will be encouraged.
Assessment is on-going with teacher feedback, self assessment and individual learning plans.
