Introduction

A design led course for those with some experience of hand knitting and crochet. You'll be guided through more advanced techniques and the process of translating your ideas into a pattern.

You'll be taught in small groups or on a one-to-one basis. You'll work on your own individual project and will be encouraged to develop your own ideas into your project. You'll benefit from the vast subject and design knowledge of tutor, Ruth Herring, who is a best selling author in her subject areas.

There will be individual and group tuition, with teacher led discussions and demonstrations.

If you are on a low wage, unemployed or claim JobseekerÂ’s Allowance (JSA) then you can enrol on the course for free.

Assessment

Assessment is on-going with teacher feedback, individual learning plans, self and peer assessment,

Entry Requirements

The course is aimed at those already able to knit and/or crochet. However, beginners with proven knowledge of other textile crafts may also be suitable for the course.
