Crochet - Developing Professional Skills - All Levels

Our craft courses will teach you a range of creative skills you can use to start a small business making and selling your own unique products. They're also a great way to improve your dexterity, meet new people and develop an interest. 

Introduction

You?ll be taught basic crochet techniques on this design-led course. You?ll have the chance to experiment and develop your ideas, and to work from commercially produced patterns.

By the end of the course you?ll be able to:

  • Crochet in rows using at least two stitches
  • Crochet motifs using at least two stitches
  • Join seams and use different finishing skills
  • Identify techniques and use technical language
  • Design and make a simple project

Have the opportunity to share skills and ideas. There will be individual and group tuition, with teacher led discussions and demonstrations.

If you are on a low wage, unemployed or claim JobseekerÂ’s Allowance (JSA) then you can enrol on the course for free.

Assessment

Assessment is on-going with teacher feedback, self assessment and individual learning plans.

Students will need to provide their own materials . The teacher will advise on this during the first class.
