The HNC is equivalent to the first year of a standard three-year university degree. After the HNC, you can move onto a HND with us or with another institution and then on to a one-year university top-up programme to earn a full degree.
This course prepares you for a career in business management. Understanding what makes businesses successful and how to respond to market forces can make you employable in lots of different industries. We have a programme of speakers who are experts in their field to give you an oversight of different business practices. One of your assignments will also involve a project in a established business. A useful qualification in its own right, the HNC is also a stepping stone towards a full degree.
You'll study eight units, including these mandatory units:
- The business environment

- Marketing principles.
The name of the course, as it appears on your qualification or certificate, will be L4 - BTEC HNC Diploma in Business (QCF) - Yr 1 of 1 (EDEXCEL)
