This course is for people who are thinking of starting a small business and have no experience. Perhaps you have a business idea that you would like to explore. This course will introduce the business plan that you need to reflect on before committing much time and money to your venture.
On the course, you will begin to draft a business plan: business objectives, ambition, the product or service, sale channels and more.
The course consists of lectures, discussions and exercises. The aim is to provide a supportive atmosphere to enable you to gain the knowledge and confidence to make sensible decisions and make a success of your business.
Your tutor will give you regular feedback and there will be opportunities to share ideas with the class.
You need a reasonable level of spoken and written English and basic maths skills.
Your tutor will provide you with a booklet of exercises to complete during the course and to take home.
You could go on to take another business course at the College.
