Our cake decorating courses will teach you professional skills that will prepare you well to set up your own business or for progression to further study on our accredited cake decorating courses
By the end of the course you will be able to: Choose and use tools and equipment Make and use pastes for sugar fabric effects Fill, stack and dowel cakes Coat and decorate using skills such as toppers/flowers/applique/painting Create sharp edges Create simple piping such as pearls and embroidery and brushwork Support and transport cake
Your teacher will give you feedback and advice. You'll work with your classmates to evaluate each other's work. You'll also complete an individual learning plan.
This course is open to beginners, but will also help you if you have experience decorating cakes and want to try new techniques and develop your skills.
Some materials, like icing sugar, and small items of equipment may need to be purchased as the course progresses. This will be discussed at the start of the course.
