This advanced course is for those who have completed an intermediate cake decorating course or those who have sound experience of the subject who wish to undertake a higher level of study
You will further your confidence and will sample techniques such as Carve, shape and decorate a 3D novelty cake
Hand paint on cakes
Piping brush embroidery, runouts, lace and oriental stringwork
Craft wafer paper flowers
3D modelling and pastillage shoes
Advanced wired sugar flowers
Use modern design and styling
Step by step demonstrations and instruction
You will work on your own cake bases and dummy cakes
You will provide your own materials for decoration as advised
Tutor feedback and advise on how to improve, individual learning plans, peer and self-assessment.
You'll need knowledge of cake decorating or you'll have completed an intermediate course.
There is a £5 material fee to cover the basics such as food colourings but you will be asked by your tutor on a weekly basis to bring specialist equipment or ingredients as required.
