We have an HNC and HND in Games which will give you vocational skills needed for employment in the industry or for further study. This course runs for one year and students can progress onto an HND after successfully achieving the qualification of this degree level course.
This is an industry-led qualification. BTECs are work-related qualifications for students taking their first steps into employment, or for those already in employment and seeking career development opportunities. BTECs provide progression into the workplace and are also designed to meet employers needs. Therefore, Pearson BTEC Higher National qualifications are widely recognised by the games industry.
The course will consist of 120 credits, 55 of which can be obtained at Level 5 which is excellent. There is a wide range of units to choose from, to suit individual expectations in games and the creative media industry overall. From Games Development Practices, Games in Context to Games Design. These are just some of the modules you will undertake in your first year on this course.
Assessment is continuous and this will take the form of homework, coursework, in-class assessment and reviews which will help to cement overall knowledge more quickly and expansively.
