This course is for students who have a solid knowledge of French equivalent to six years of study or approximately three hundred and fifty hours and wish to develop all four skills.
You will be able to practice and improve your conversational, as well as your understanding of French in a small group within a relaxed communicative atmosphere debating topical issues related to France, French culture and politics using French TV, magazines, newspaper snippets and literary extracts.
You will strengthen you written skills consolidating the subjunctive tenses, the imperative and any other grammatical queries you might have using a wide range of resources taken from educational websites. as well as French TV and newspaper snippets.
The course runs for half a term/ typically 5-6 weeks two hours a week
Initial assessment when joining the course, Tutor feedback, individual learning plan , informal assessment and homework.
An advanced level in the language 400 hours or more.
There may be materials you need to help with your studies. You'll either make a one-off payment for these when you enrol, or you'll buy them during the course. Your tutor will talk to you about this at interview or in your first class (if you don't need an interview).
