Introduction

A lively course which aims to enable you to take part in conversations and to achieve a basic understanding of French so that you are able to cope in everyday situations.

Content:

  • Talk about yourself (revision)
  • See a doctor, describe symptoms and buy medicines
  • Inquire at a tourist office/hotel about activities and places to see
  • Compare 2 French speaking countries

Assessment

Assessment is informal. The course is based on the communicative approach with an emphasis on speaking and listening skills

  • Pair and group work
  • Role plays

  • Use of pictures and authentic material
  • Use of audio-visual techniques
