This course aims to enhance the performance of your daily activities by improving circulation, flexibility, strength and posture through chair-based exercise
You'll learn how to perform:
- Warm up exercises to boost circulation,
- Exercises to mobilise the shoulders, spine and ankles,
- strengthening exercises for upper back, legs, arms, hips and wrists,
- Standing exercises,
- Circulation lowering exercises
- Pelvic floor exercises.
Teacher feedback, individual learning plans, student and peer self-assessment.
None. Although seeking advice from a doctor prior to starting the programme is advisable if you have ongoing health problems. Open to women and men who would prefer to exercise sitting on chairs rather than lying on the floor.
There may be materials you need to help with your studies. You'll either make a one-off payment for these when you enrol, or you'll buy them during the course. Your tutor will talk to you about this at interview or in your first class (if you don't need an interview).
Depending on your course and circumstances, you may be able to get funding to help with materials fees. Please check with us when you come in for interview or enrolment.
