Ideal for beginners who want to learn the basic massage moves to enable you to treat family and friends to a relaxing and uplifting massage of the feet , hands, back, shoulders, head and face.
By the end of the course you'll be able to execute a variety of massage movements including Petrissage, Effleurage and Percussion that make up the foundation for all styles of massage. There will be routines given for various areas of the body, so the student can practice and create their own style.
Teacher feedback, individual learning plans, student and peer self-assessment, sharing of work in groups and partner work.
Please note that this is a massage course which involves using oil on the body and therefore you will be required to partially undress in preparation to receive the massage, as you will learning by giving and receiving massage from other learners attending the course
There may be materials you need to help with your studies. You'll either make a one-off payment for these when you enrol, or you'll buy them during the course. Your tutor will talk to you about this at interview or in your first class (if you don't need an interview).
Depending on your course and circumstances, you may be able to get funding to help with materials fees. Please check with us when you come in for interview or enrolment.
