Sing with others and improve your voice and technique on this daytime and evening course. You'll cover the basics of singing, posture, breathing, vowel production, articulation and phrasing. Practise warm up and other exercises to develop technique and range and have the opportunity to sing solo and with others.
By the end of the course you'll be able to:
Adopt the correct posture for singing
Breathe correctly to enhance your singing
Join with others in singing group songs
Have the confidence to sing solo in front of others
- Prepare a suitable piece for auditions.
Please bring sheet music of songs you would like to sing solo. This is not essential as we carry a vast stock of music but if you have a particular choice please bring it along.
None. This course is suitable for all ages and abilities. Being able to read music is not essential, and many students pick it up on the course.
There may be materials you need to help with your studies. You'll either make a one-off payment for these when you enrol, or you'll buy them during the course. Your tutor will talk to you about this at interview or in your first class (if you don't need an interview).
Depending on your course and circumstances, you may be able to get funding to help with materials fees. Please check with us when you come in for interview or enrolment.
