If you've already completed another guitar making course and want to take your knowledge of guitar repairs further, this course lets you set your own targets. You'll continue to develop a wide range of repair and restoration skills through more challenging projects such as building an electric guitar and gain the practical knowledge you need to work in this specialist industry.
Repair topics include:
- Repairing splits
- Head fronts
- Making patches.
You should plan to complete a guitar in a style of your choice and develop your repair skills.
The tutor will give you feedback throughout your course.
Ideally you'll have completed our other guitar making courses or have equivalent experience. If you haven't done a course with us already, you'll need a short interview with a tutor who will check the course is right for you. To guarantee a place, you should aim to book at least a month before the course starts.
Included in the course fee though you might want to buy your own tools to help you practise and develop at home. Talk to a tutor for more information about this.
