Transport for London (TfL) has announced that all new applicants, and existing private hire drivers applying to renew their licence for the first time since the introduction of this new requirement, must now meet the equivalent of a B1 English language requirement. Trinitys ISE I Secure English Language Test (SELT) has been approved by TfL for this purpose. On this intensive course our specialised tutors will give you a understanding of the exam requirements. They will prepare you for all the exam tasks; they will explain how to find an exam centre and book your exam.
This course will prepare you for the Trinitys ISE I (B1) SELT. The exam consists of two modules: Reading & Writing and Speaking & Listening. Candidates must pass both modules for an ISE I (B1) qualification. This course will prepare you for the test, by looking at the exam requirements in detail and having supervised practice using and constructive feedback. You will increase your confidence and know if you are ready to attempt the actual test at a secure English language testing centre.
Tutor feedback, individual learning plans, peer and self-assessment. Please note that we do not provide Trinitys ISE I (B1) SELT exam in our college. We only offer a preparation course. When you are ready, please visit Trinity website Site to book your test.
To benefit from this course you will need a good standard of written and spoken English (ESOL Entry 3 - CEFR English level B1 or above)
There may be materials you need to help with your studies. You'll either make a one-off payment for these when you enrol, or you'll buy them during the course. Your tutor will talk to you about this at interview or in your first class (if you don't need an interview).
Depending on your course and circumstances, you may be able to get funding to help with materials fees. Please check with us when you come in for interview or enrolment.
Book the test at a secure language testing centre when you are ready.
