Sport

If you're super-fit, enjoy playing sport and love seeing a game bringing people together; then we want you on our team. Learn in our new facilities which include a Sports England standard sports hall and aerobics studio.

With over 200 different jobs within the sport and leisure industry you'll never be short of opportunities. These are the paths you might follow after your course:

  • Straight into a job in sports, leisure or a recreation centre
  • You could work towards a career in sport or leisure facility management, sports coaching, fitness instructing or sports development with further qualifications or training
  • Move onto higher education in subjects such as sports studies, leisure management, recreation management or teacher training..

  • Sport student Shannon

"I love sport and want to be a personal trainer or physiotherapist. I was at another school before and the teaching was no way near the standard here. At South Thames, the tutors really support you and always answer any questions in or out of the classroom. After my course, I’m going on to university to do sport science or physiotherapy"

    Shannon, Sport Level 3

  • Juan-sport

"My aim is to be a physiotherapist so the course at South Thames has given me the motivation and a fantastic basis to go on to further study, and now I am closer to my goal due to the great job of all the teachers and their teaching methods.

"My experience has been very positive at the College and I have really enjoyed the practical aspects of the course as it gives you the hands-on training that you need to succeed."

Juan Tabares Salazar, Sport Level 3
