0a3f059f-980d-4166-b15a-ea3a2dcfc504The Ambitions Fair, run by South Thames College and NatWest in partnership with Microsoft and a Dragon's Den successful businessman, helped nearly a hundred young people understand opportunities and enterprise as they met with local businesses, big corporations and successful entrepreneurs.

The event, set up to boost job hunting skills and improve understanding of how to set up your own business, attracted people from across the borough. There are currently about 2,200 unemployed people in Tooting.

South Thames College and Microsoft were on hand to give advice and help with CVs, job applications and to talk about apprenticeships. NatWest helped people who were interested in setting up their own business. Business success stories also boosted the day.

The Trust's Team programme is a 12 week course, which gives young people the skills and confidence they need to find a job or progress to further study. South Thames has been delivering the programme in Wandsworth and the surrounding area since 1996 and has supported 4,000 unemployed young people in that time.
