Over 200 students took part in activities held across the Wandsworth and Merton Campuses for Disability Awareness Week. The event gave students and staff an opportunity to meet organisations working closely with disabled people, try out paralympic sports and enrichment activities and watch a theatre performance created especially for the College.

Two former South Thames College students on the Prince’s Trust Team Programme have been nominated for accolades at a prestigious royal awards ceremony.
Inspirational Aaron McGrath, 26 of Carshalton, and Karine Harris, 24 of Islington both experienced issues ranging from depression and homelessness before turning their lives around thanks to the 12-week Team Programme.
Their incredible achievements means that they will be competing against nominees from across the UK to be chosen as the winner of a royal award at The Prince's Trust & Samsung Celebrate Success Awards on Wednesday 12 March at London’s Leicester Square Odeon.

A student entrepreneur from South Thames College is set to take the business world by storm after winning a national enterprise competition.
18-year-old Level 3 business student, Julieta Ose Ahmedze, won £1,000 after giving a three minute pitch on her oxygen cocktail business idea, OxyOse, at the 2014 Student Enterprise Conference in Sheffield. And now the student has investors and banks vying to offer her the £30,000 investment to grow her business.
