Music performance student Semhar Teklu and music technology student Siraj Aziz, each spent a week at the club, seeing firsthand how a world-class music venue runs.
Fatine Boumaaz, Ronnie Scott’s work experience coordinator, said, “It was really nice working with Semhar as she was very keen and showed motivations. Siraj evolved well during the week – he left with the idea of running his music venue in the future, which I think shows he enjoyed his time here.”
Semhar added, “I enjoyed working in all the different areas and seeing how a music venue runs. It was also great to work at a place where so many musicians, from Amy Winehouse to Prince have played.”
Watch Semhar and Siraj talk about their experiences in a video put together by the Ronnie Scott’s team.
