London Street Paved With Talent

As part of the Wandsworth Arts Festival, the Level 3 Music students created a vibrant showcase taking over the pedestrian area outside Wandsworth Town Station and inside the Alma Hotel.

Students quickly established their presence and cranked up the energy delivering a cross-venue pop-up show called ‘STC Takeover’. Locals, commuters, friends, family and ex- students all soaked up the creative and uplifting vibes.

The Beauty Therapy department are proud of the Level 4 course in Advanced Skin Studies and Aesthetic Practice – a ground-breaking qualification exclusively at STC. Comprising 8 modules and studies mainly online with just eight practical days in college this course can be studied from anywhere in England.

South Thames College have partnered with CIBTAC and Sally Durant, leading aesthetics practitioner in the UK to provide and design a collection of training modules covering the Level 4 Aesthetics Course.

Best Learner Award at House of Lords 570

The annual South London Best Learner Awards are presented on behalf of the Committee of South London Principals (COSLP). This year’s event was hosted by Lord Tope and saw South Thames College’s business student, Sanjida Akther win a Best Learner Award. Sanjida joined many high achieving college students from across South London for a special afternoon tea to celebrate their successes.

Born in East London in the mid 1920’s; Sir Jack Petchey is known to be one of the UK's most successful businessmen. He was brought up in a working class background with very few advantages. At an early age he showed the entrepreneurial skills that have aided his success. With £60 to his name, he started a car hire business after he purchased a motor vehicle. Eventually Jack branched into the property market and started his own hotel company in the Portugal, which he still runs to this day.
